Firefighters from Telford Central attended the Southwater multi-storey car park in Telford at 8.38pm on Friday.
A spokesman for Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service said: “This incident was a false alarm caused by the deliberate activation of a glass break call point.”
It was confirmed as a false alarm at 8.45pm.
Firefighters dealt with another false alarm in Shrewsbury a little later that afternoon.
Two crews traveled the short distance from their base in St Michael’s Street to the base of Morris Lubricants, where the call was classed as a property fire.
But crews, and an operations officer, soon discovered it was a false alarm, caused by the activation of an intrusion alarm.
A fire service spokesman said: “This incident was a false alarm caused by an intruder alarm being activated in the property.”
