Google continues to roll out features designed to make owning an electric vehicle easier, and this time it’s updated Maps.
Speaking of charging stations, users will be able to filter search results to show only DC fast chargers over 150kW. These significantly reduce recharging times and allow many electric vehicles to reach an 80% charge in less than 30 to 40 minutes.

Finally, “on any trip that requires a charging stop, Maps will suggest the best stop based on factors such as current traffic, charge level and expected power consumption.” This should make things easier for drivers, and Google said users will be able to change stations if they wish.
Electric vehicles aside, Google Maps will also receive a handful of other useful updates. In particular, pedestrians and cyclists will benefit from “visual cues” on their lock screen. This means they will be able to see upcoming shifts without having to unlock the phone and open the app again.
