The revised supercar will close the performance and handling gap on its 765LT sibling

McLaren is updating its critically acclaimed 720S supercar with the addition of styling updates, new badges and a 30 HP (30 PS) power boost, according to news reports.
Tweaks to McLaren’s 4.0-liter M840T biturbo V8 will increase output from 710 hp (720 PS) to 740 hp (750 PS), the power metric that is once again used to name the mid-engine machine, a source familiar with the say the project Automotive news.
The source said the 750S will be “more aggressive” than the 720S, but not as extreme as the hardcore 765LT, describing it as “the perfect blend” of the two cars. The new car’s styling both inside and out will reportedly borrow from other McLaren models. A new front bumper, larger side air intakes and an adaptive spoiler with larger 765LT-style air brake are part of the new exterior package, while the cabin could borrow the infotainment system from ‘entertainment and the group of digital indicators of the new baby Artura.

But unlike the Artura, which uses a V6 hybrid engine instead of the V8 fitted to its 570S predecessor, the 750S won’t adopt hybrid technology for what is essentially a slight facelift of the 720S that went out of production in January . The report also suggested that there would be no LT variant this time around, and that coupe and convertible versions of the 750S would be available from the get-go, rather than a staggered launch and the Spider after six months behind the scenes rigid car
Car news‘s source said we’ll get our first look at the 750S in a teaser campaign released this month, with the full reveal set for April and US deliveries slated for September. But it also claims the car is already sold out in 2024 due to the volume of bookings already made, despite the car not being officially unveiled and reportedly commanding a 10 percent premium over the outgoing car’s $310,500 cost.
